The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D is a one-of-a-kind video game experience with a long history. And yet, this is a completely different adventure than we’ve seen in the past Legend of Zelda video game series. The Ocarina of Time runs on Nintendo 3DS devices, so you can play it wherever you are.
The graphics within this video game will blow your mind; the glasses-free 3D visuals will have you feeling like you are inside of the game right along with its hero, Link. Zelda lovers will be extremely pleased with the overall interface and the improved game features.
They will also like the Master Quest – a second quest with more challenging puzzles and different dungeons. This is a game not just for Zela lovers but for everyone.
9. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Wii U
This video game’s vastness is incredible and a good example of why the Zelda series is so popular on any platform. You can climb up towers and mountains to explore new adventures, all the while battling enemies and gathering food to stay alive.
There are over 100 Shrines of Trials that are just waiting for you to be explored in this video game. Each Shrine is equipped with its own set of challenges for you to overcome. Once you defeat each shrine in this video game, you will be rewarded with special items that will help you throughout your journey in The Breath OF The Wild.
To really conquer this video game, it isn’t going to be easy. You need strategy and the right equipment. Build yourself up and take on the world!
8. Splatoon Video games
In this video game, it gets messy. You’ll be splattering enemies from left and right with ink-spraying equipment. When you battle online, it gets even messier as you are all battling with others to win over the turf. Your character in Platoon has squid-like powers, ink bombs, ink rollers, and ink blasters that empowers you to spray ink on any enemy you please.
Whenever your spray ink on your enemy, you’ll have the ability to unlock certain skills in the game, like climbing walls and running at super high speeds. The dirtier you get, the better your character becomes in this video game!
Online battles aren’t for the Marie Kondos here; be sure you rank up and improve your weapons and gear before stepping into this video game’s online arena. With how fun and crazy this video game is, it was an easy choice for our #8 spot on our top 10 best games in 2023 list!
7. Super Smash Bros. – Nintendo Wii U
Holy cow. The all-star roster of all your favorite Nintendo characters in this iteration of Super Smash Bros is insane! This is the largest group of well-known characters in a video game ever seen before. From Donkey Kong to Super Mario, everyone is on board waiting for you.
As you keep whooping up on your enemies, you’ll start unlocking different customizations and equipment. With this video game, you’ll also be able to begin training your favorite amiibo characters so that you can dominate your friends and other players around the world.
What’s even more fun, and another big reason this video game made our top 10 best video games in the 2020 list, is the fact that you can pit your amiibo character against a friends’ one. This allows for an epic showdown!
6. Pokémon Sun – Nintendo 3DS
There’s so much to explore in this video game that you won’t know what to do when you start! Each time you play, you will be embarking on a new adventure. As a Pokémon Trainer, you’ll be able to catch, battle, and trade all-new Pokémon on the tropical islands of the Alola Region.
As you move through the game, you’ll come into contact with challenges and discover Z-moves that will help you when it’s time to battle. In this video game, you’ll be able to call for Poké Rides that will help you travel to see different regions that you haven’t seen before.
You’ll even be able to capture and train different Pokémon characters throughout your travels. Try out the Island Challenge trials, and if you win, you’ll become the champion! Being such an adventurous ride, Pokémon Sun was an easy choice for our #6 spot on our top 10 best games in the 2020 list.
5. NEW: Mario Kart 7 – World Edition
Don’t like playing against your local amigos? No worries! The Mario Kart 7 video game allows you to race against players from all around the world as long as you have an internet connection.
Within this iteration of the video game, you are also empowered to customize your own vehicle with accessories (giant tires, small tires, etc.) and give you that extra edge. Another major reason this game made it to our list is that it supports both SpotPass and StreetPass features.
You’ll easily swap data with other people while also having access to receiving new content from Nintendo. BEWARE: This video game will keep you entertained for hours!
4. Super Smash Bros. – Nintendo 3DS Video Games
Coming in at #4 is Super Smash Bros. on the Nintendo 3DS system. Whether you’re in the comfort of your own home or you want a video game while you’re on the go, this video game is perfect for keeping you entertained for the whole day.
The more fighters you beat, the more features you can unlock. The customizations and equipment features in this video game are endless as long as you keep winning. You can even create your own Mii character to take on other fighters.

We had to put another one of our favorite video games – Super Smash Bros Series – with another great amiibo character, Ryu! This street fighter is one of a kind and makes for an adrenaline rush when battling with him in this video game.
This video game makes it fun to bring your favorite Nintendo characters to the big screen without extra hardware. All you have to do is attach the Ryu amiibo figure to a Wii U gamepad controller and watch your character come to life in this video game. Ryu will grow and learn alongside you, give you access to special items, and let you customize your characters and your gameplay. Use the Ryu amiibo to smash all your friends and other fighters around the world. Ryu amiibo was an easy choice to put on our top 10 list!

In this video game, you will race with and against some of your favorite Nintendo characters. You are even able to drive along walls and upside-down. When you’re connected on Mario Kart TV and Miiverse, you’ll be able to upload your craziest moments from each race for all of your friends to see.
This video game offers you the ability to play with your buddies, but you can also connect with other racers worldwide to see who can beat who. The graphics on this particular Mario Kart iteration are what really solidified its #2 spot; they are crisp and beat out many games we’ve seen on consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One. If you own a Wii U, Mario Kart 8 is a must-have video game that will keep all ages entertained!

With amiibo, your favorite Nintendo characters come to life and will change the way you play video games on Wii U. This video game makes it fun to bring your favorite Nintendo characters to your TV set without any extra hardware! Now Link, another popular character from the Zelda series, is available.
All you have to do is attach the Link amiibo figure to a Wii U gamepad controller and watch your character come to life in this video game. Your character will get better over time, develop special skills, and unlock new features and weapons.
